Our Canteen is open 6 Days a week for our members and their bona fide guests. Doors open daily at 3pm M-Sa. Canteen is closed on Sundays.
Our Canteen Manager is fixing up our space there and making things much better. We have 4 new dart boards to host leagues every Wednesday evening at 6pm. Or just bring your friends down and throw a few. Burger nights every Wednesday starting at 4:30pm and a rotating menu every Friday starting at 5pm. There is Trivia on Thursday evenings at 7pm, and we have pool tournaments on Monday and Thursday evenings at 6pm. There is live musical entertainment almost every Friday and Saturday. Notes from our Canteen Manager, Chad:
Canteen 7686 Family,
It's been a pretty amazing year so far and the best hasn't even got here yet....Memorial Day next weekend, the Wounded Warrior event on the 30th and the 4th of July with a steak fry thrown in the middle somewhere (June 13th to be exact). It's going to be busy and awesome. The new dart board area is three pieces of trim away from being completely finished and the league is making use of it every Wednesday evening with a tournament tomorrow at noon. A few more pieces of plywood and the new built-in bar top seating along the walls will be built and installed opening the back bar up some more while offering more seating. Lots of changes which leads me to one big one...it's with a heavy heart that I have decided to resign my position as the Canteen manager effective the 23rd of May. My family has been pushing me to step back as they have been concerned with my health/happiness and it's time I listen and embark on the new adventure that's been placed before me.
I cannot thank you enough for the support you have given Rhane, Andre, Jenifer, Marlana and myself over the past year and a half...serving our Veterans and their families is truly an honor and one I will never forget.
We have put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this place fixing and upgrading making it the best version of itself it could possibly be. My goal was to bring members home, create an environment that would bring in new members, make everybody feel welcomed and just have a place where that sense of community flourished.....I think we did ok.
I am leaving you in very capable hands and will be here to support the team until my replacement can be found. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for giving me the opportunity of the lifetime...to get to serve a second time.
