Our Canteen is open 6 Days a week for our members and their bona fide guests. Doors open daily at 3pm M-Sa. Canteen is closed on Sundays.
Our Canteen Manager is fixing up our space there and making things much better. We have 4 new dart boards to host leagues. Or just bring your friends down and throw a few. Burger nights every Wednesday starting at 4:30pm and a rotating menu every Friday starting at 5pm. We have burgers and dogs on Saturdays now for those that come out and watch the bands those nights as well. There is Trivia on Thursday evenings at 7pm, and we have pool tournaments on Monday and Thursday evenings at 6pm. There is live musical entertainment almost every Friday and Saturday. Notes from our Canteen Manager:
Hello Everyone. I'm Matt Yarbrough and I'm the new Canteen Manager at Post 7686. I'm just getting my feet under me right now as I work to make this place the very best for our members and their guests. Rhane is getting me up to speed so we can continue to make this place welcoming, relaxed and exciting all at the same time. I've got a pretty good feel for things at the Post. I was the Post's Sr. Vice Commander this previous administrative year so I bring knowledge to the table. I'm looking forward to serving our members and the Post as the days go on. If you haven't met me, please come and introduce yourself when you come down to the Canteen for a meal or just a cold drink.
I'm very excited to announce our first Open House in quite some time. We will be open on the 4th starting at 11am for our members and their guests. We will be providing a meal free of charge, although donations are greatly appreciated. Then, at 3pm, we will open the Canteen up to the general public. We will have live music Saturday by Cadillac Kings also. The Post will have a membership drive with a booth set up there in hopes of catching a few new members that would continue to give the same support to the Canteen that they have over the years.
